RCR Rail Co. develops and operates rail-served logistics parks with service from Class I Railroads to fulfill a critical, demonstrated, geographical market need for the Class I’s and rail users while yielding superior, risk-mitigated returns for investors. Our parks are suited for light and heavy manufacturing, distribution, unit train services and warehousing. Park site designs emphasize improved logistics and accessibility, assisting businesses in enhancing operational effeciencies for all logistical requirements.

Hydie McAlister

Principal & Co-Founder

Hydie McAlister began her commercial real estate career in 1991 with the McAlister Company. In 2008, Hydie co-founded McAlister Investment Real Estate, bringing with her experience in capital formation, asset selection, due diligence and investor relations. She has been instrumental in identifying and acquiring $250M+ in land assets for her respective companies. Between February 2018 and August 2022, she and her business partner Sharon Beach raised over $139 million in private equity for their long term capital gain land holdings and rail-served industrial parks.

Principal & Co-Founder

Sharon Beach joined McAlister Investment Real Estate in 2017 with the launch of the McAlister Opportunity Fund III and is responsible for capital raising and managing investors relations.  She has been instrumental in growing the McAlister investor base with both domestic and international investors. Prior to joining McAlister, Sharon spent 25 years working with Merck & Co, Inc. in several capacities: new market development, serving on regional and national task forces, new employee training, solution analysis and sales.
 

Jeffrey Pittman

Co-Founder, RCR Rail & VP of Sales

Prior to co-founding RCR Rail Company, Jeffrey Pittman was a veteran of the real estate market. For 27 years prior to his work with RCR Rail Co, Jeff provided unparalleled real estate services focusing on industrial, retail, and residential land development, acquisition, and disposition. In the past, he represented a Fortune 10 company in their acquisition and development of over 30 new store sites, which represents a total value over $300 million. In 2008, he joined his team in representing the transfer of a unique deep-water industrial site owned by McDermott Industries with an estimated purchase price of over $20 million.
 
 

Cody Poteat

Rail Park Management & Sales

Cody Poteat joined RCR in 2023 wtih 11 years of rail experience from working at Union Pacific. While in the railroad industry, Cody held positions in the intermodal, chemicals, and automotive segments of their business. Cody’s responsibilities included commercial development, large contract negotiation, and project management. During his tenure with UP, he negotiated contracts totaling over $400M in revenue. For RCR, Cody has the responsibility for operations at both parks & commercial development in both the automotive and additional commodity market segments. Cody lives in Franklin, TN with his wife who owns her own small business marketing company.
